Instructions for Young Artist Auditions
Grades 1-12
- Fill out a Judging Form for each student. Please print legibly. EACH ENTRY MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A CRITIQUE SHEET.
- Indicate any and all siblings who are also entering the auditions. We will try to schedule siblings’ times as close together as possible.
- The entry fee is $15.00 per entry and is non-refundable. SEND ONLY ONE CHECK FROM YOUR STUDIO FOR THE TOTAL AMOUNT. ALL CHECKS MUST BE MADE OUT TO WMTA.
- Send the entry form, critique sheets and one check from the teacher’s studio to the Young Artist Chairman.
- If you need to make any schedule changes within your studio, please be sure to notify the Chairman of those changes as soon as possible.
- Students receiving a Superior (1) Rating will perform on one of the Honors Concerts to be held on the Sunday (next day) after the auditions.
- Auditions will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at approximately 1:00 p.m.
Teachers entering students in these auditions are expected to help at the auditions in some capacity. If you cannot help, you must alert the Chairmen of the event and find a qualified substitute.
- Please instruct students to arrive 10 minutes before their audition time. Measures must be numbered in EACH PIECE to be performed. No photocopies allowed.
