Hello, Teachers -
I hope your teaching year is off to a great start! We are welcoming several new members this year.
We are happy to have Dr. Karrin Ford, Dr. Penny Pangburn Hanlon, Michelle Lassiter, and Sara Miller. Also, Nila Hill is returning after several years’ absence.
Thank you to Philip Howard for planning and directing our Fall Recital on October 16. It was a small but excellent recital.
Becky Ward and Katie Thompson took care of the Fall Theory test with their usual good leadership. Becky and Katie, thank you for your hard work. Dr. Ruth Pitts opened her home for the makeup test and gave ear training for several hours! Ruth, we really appreciate your willingness and availability for this.
The next event will be the Fall Festival auditions and recitals on November 12-13. Please see the details in our calendar, and let Carla Gibbs or Kimberly Duerksen know if you can help with this event.
We have now received our tax exempt status, thanks to the perseverance of Lydia Bratcher and Marsha Green. This will be a big plus for our organization as we have opportunities to receive tax-deductible memorials for our scholarship funds. We are fortunate to have your expertise, Lydia and Marsha.
Hope to see each of you soon at the Recital Hall!
